About Morohunmubo
Morohunmubo ‘Mubo’ Afolabi is an architect, sustainability consultant, and artist whose practice spans architectural artworks, prints, and installations. She has exhibited with the Ogirikan Art Gallery, presented installations at ECOBANK Design and Build Week, and her works are part of the Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art collection in Nigeria. Her work is deeply inspired by the realities of climate change, transforming urgent ecological concerns into poetic visual form.
Trained in architecture in the United Kingdom and Italy, Afolabi brings over 25 years of international experience to her dual career. She is a Certified EDGE Expert (World Bank/IFC) and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Currently, she serves as Head of Partnerships and Engagements at the Green Building Council of Nigeria, advancing collaborations around sustainable development.
Her professional journey informs an artistic practice that bridges design, architecture, and environmental advocacy. Afolabi’s work insists that art is not separate from sustainability but a vital force for cultural imagination and ecological stewardship.
