Morohunmubo’s thought-provoking and innovative use of Nigerian gourds as a canvas masterfully intersects preservation and climate discourse. Using an abstract representation of prolific colours, carefully crafted in brush strokes, controlled pours and splashes with mixed media, Morohunmubo vividly depicts some of the devastating impacts of climate change on our environment.

Representations of climate effects—such as desertification, flooding, water scarcity, food insecurity, and migration—are frequently depicted on repurposed organic vessels, underscoring the urgent issue of climate change.
